Touching Memory is inspired by my childhood in Barcelona, infused with the vibrant colours of the markets and seafood restaurants. of La Barceloneta. This collection is about capturing the shapes and hues of the world that shaped my perception of food and daily life.
My state funded high school was an old palace in the Parc Ciutadella opposite the parliament of Catalonia. On break times and at lunch we sat on the grass amidst orange trees and Gaudí statues. During the Christmas holidays we would take a picnic of cheeses, pomegranates and Japanese rice rolls and sit on the benches by the fountain, edging our way around the pond, chasing the sun.
