Tell the Story of Your Home ~ six week programme
What is in the Tell the Story of Your Home workbook?
- A series of creative prompts to guide you in exploring your own personal story.
- A method for channeling your story, loves and life experiences, to tell the story of your home.
- A look at texture, colour and design as tools for creating a style that is personal to you.
- Straightforward & effective styling techniques to help create a story that is both visually harmonious and engaging.
- Personal stories as examples of how I have implemented the ideas and techniques in this workbook.
- An audio version, so that instead of reading, you can listen.
What we will discuss in the 1:1 consultations:
- Your motivation for signing up to the workshop.
- Where you are feeling stuck or lost.
- What you would like to focus on.
- Any thoughts or ideas where you may simply need a sounding board or a second opinion.
- How we can pinpoint the priorities and areas to give your core attention to, and develop an action plan for going forward.
“Tell the Story of Your Home changed not only my understanding of my home and how to style it, but also my understanding of myself – for the better.” Heather Bond
This six week workshop will guide you through:
- How to make your space look and feel like you and everything that you love.
- How to reflect your history, passions, dreams and personal story in your environment.
- How to tell your past, and present in the four walls of your home, whatever or wherever that may be right now.
- How telling your story through your environment can help open up every aspect of your life.
- How deeply your relationship with your space can impact your relationship with yourself as well as with others.
- How expressing yourself in your truest form, without external expectations or pretences will empower you.
- The importance of meeting your needs where they are now, and pinning down function before starting on form.
- How your space can be an anchor for every aspect of your life, helping you feel more inspired, grounded and centred.
- How to use styling techniques and design to support you in your personal choices, that are independent of trends or what you may think your home ‘should’ look like.
- How important it is to look at what we choose to carry with us in our space, as well as what we choose to leave behind.
- How to create a space that is timeless yet ever evolving, a living breathing reflection of you and your multi layered, beautiful life.
“…thought provoking and takes you on a real journey of discovery.” Megan Northcott
