Touching Memory is inspired by my childhood in Barcelona, infused with the vibrant colours of the markets and seafood restaurants. of La Barceloneta. This collection is about capturing the shapes and hues of the world that shaped my perception of food and daily life.
My mum taught me how to budget and do the weekly shop at the Mercat de Santa Caterina, where we would visit the vegetable stalls, the cheese stall and the fish stall, ending up at the bar where we drank iced coffees and ate tortilla de patata. The one key thing mum taught me: make sure they give you the fruit and vegetables on display, not from behind the counter.
